Re: Dipped beam behaviour

Not had an issue with an F or TF, but the light switch on my BGT can sometimes not work if unused for a period as the contacts become dirty through no use. A few on / offs tends to clean the contacts.

Re: Misshapen Hard top

Thanks for the offer of a hardtop John. We have others we can use. Should have bought a set of brackets to hang it up, but just didn't get around to it.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your father in law.

The hardtop has been sat in the shed for almost 2 years as we didn't get around to fitting it last year. Discovered that the edge below the window has warped ~ either the weight of the roo...

Re: seats

Yes, however disconnect the battery first and leave it for 30 minutes to allow the air bags to discharge. You will also need to disconnect the electrical connectors under the seat.

Hi John,

Yes that's fine. We'll either create a gap for you in the line or will pull into the layby. I suspect I will be leading in our yellow Trophy.

Re: MG TF "McLaren"?

Hi Greve,

Welcome to the MGF Register Forum. There is nothing in the build data to indicate that the car was "special". It simply shows as an export model for MG Rover Germany.

Re: Hello

The Workshop Manual is very detailed as is what was provided to dealers. Roger Parkers "Restoration Manual" may be a better choice as it has coloured pictures and is less in depth although very good. It depends really what level of maintenance you want to do yourself.
