No, the whine continues even when the clutch is depressed. I've not long had the cam belts and tensioner fitted new, in-fact I think it's started since then! lol

Hello all. I drive my Mg Tf everyday to and from work, lately it's started to make a high pitched 'whinning' noise coming from the engine that increases in pitch along with the increase in revs! Interesting replies. Encouraging to hear that it went after 8 years, must sell mine before then! Lol ! The issues I read about Colin were all around the Janspeed 4-2-1, so I will be opting for the Piper me thinks. Valuable feedback peeps, much appreciated......
