Re: Churchill Suspension Pump

Did you see this at ebay ? It's only for the low loss connector though. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VL-Churchill-Hydrolastic-Pump-18G703C-Dalek-Minor-Service-Kit-NOS-/151052501291 However, the pumps usual work quite simple. But the sealings inside and non return valves might have got sticky and worn. ...

I remember the caster angle only.
Some did up to 7° depending on the race track layout.

Re: passenger wing mirror - electric

According to the EPC on Dieters site http://www.mgfcar.de/epc/4089.htm there seems to be no difference in mirrors on either side of the car. There is a LHD version though or an Australia RHD version. I'm sorry that site for the RHD mirrors is not finished yet. Please see the LHD one http://www.mgfc...

Don't follow me Klaus - Lyn will be navigating so will probably not get past the "How to read ..." at the beginning. She has many wonderfull attributes and I love her dearly but reading maps or following tulips are not on the list. Same here with my co-driver. This is why I bought my first SatNav d...

Re: Missing brass ball in inlet manifold

.. nothing I suspect. I know from the MG Enthusiasts in Taiwan (Mr Edward Weng), they are removing the ball to prevent it from getting sticky and cause HGF. It's indeed more dangerous to get a sticky bleed valve then removing it. There will be a constant flow of coolant now to the expansion tank. Th...

Re: MGF SUSPENSION ISSUES -HARD

I understood, but cannot say what exactly causes the drop of pressure on the right side (front or rear).

Either there is a fluid leak. Traces of fluid should be visible somewhere.

Or the nitrogen gas filling in the top sphere of a front or rear unit is loosing pressure constantly.

Re: Lowering Pins - DIY fitting?

Phil, I've not much sense about the right grease. Me used standard grease ending up with such poor result ;) However there should be some advise on grease to be used in other threads. Master Geoff F. is used to be known as a specialist on such items. I would think something like the grease used for ...

Re: MGF SUSPENSION ISSUES -HARD

Hi, difficult to say whats happened. I think one or both right units may be broken. HAve any leaks of fluid been spotted ? The left side looks fine. The right side is for sure no pressure in the system. Some comments to your situation on the right side: Both units are in *idle* position, no pressure...

Re: Lowering Pins - DIY fitting?

Phil, the fitment looks easy on first hand. The problem is to get them in reliable for a longer time. Take care with the white plastic frames and do not break them Get a huge amount of high quality grease into the assy and check the fitment of the rubber gaiter frequently after you've finished to pr...

Re: Pumped Up The Suspension What Has Happened

Hi, sounds indeed like something is broken. Could have been air locks from earlier DIY pump trials without proper evacuation. Any airlock results in rust inside the system. However, you should check the mechanical conditions at the rear. Special at the knuckle joint below the displacer unit. Could h...
