CODE WAIT
I have a 75th Anniversary ltd edition with standard CD/Radio as illustrated. The supplied ICE booklet is for a Phillips 741 model which I believe was not fitted to this model so is useless!
Can anybody suggest the correct method for resetting so that I can enter the code and also remind/confirm which button to press after setting it? I believe it is the small 'm' button on the bottom left.
Thanks,
Charles
For recent welding I had to disconnect the battery, have since failed to enter the correct code and now can't shift the 'code wait' even with disconnecting the battery again. It has stayed for over a week with the radio left off!Can anybody suggest the correct method for resetting so that I can enter the code and also remind/confirm which button to press after setting it? I believe it is the small 'm' button on the bottom left.
Thanks,
Charles

Re: CODE WAIT
It looks as though your car is fitted with the CD43 radio CD System. I have a manual with the instructions, which covers 12 pages. If you PM me with your e-mail, I'll scan them for you, or I can just scan the Security Code Information page.

Re: CODE WAIT
Well if anybody else suffers this irritation the answer is to leave it switched on for an hour or two - ignition switch 'accessories' position is fine. Eventually the 'wait' is replaced by '----' allowing the (correct) code (this time) to be entered. I am still not certain whether the 'enter' button is the 'M' or the '>' next to it. But hey ho, back in business.
PS I'd still really appreciate a scan of the manual Bazzajay if you can! Thanks :o)

Charles,
A photo of the Code Wait page from the manual to help you get up and running.
Hope this is helpful.

Re: CODE WAIT
Barrie,
I was searching to find a manual for the Blaupunkt radio cd player in my 75th Anniversary MGF and I landed on your reply to Charles.
It would appear MG installed a radio cd in these anniversary models but provided the new owners with a 20 page manual for a radio cassette player!
I would like to know if you are still able to send out a scanned copy of the manual.
Regards,
Michael

Re: CODE WAIT
Michael,
I've got the builders in at present and my MGF Files are all packed away. They'll be finished in a month or so, I'll have a look for it as soon as I'm back to something like normal.

Re: CODE WAIT
Hi. BMW owned MG ROVER when the CD43 was fitted. They also fitted to their own vehicles.

So search for BMW CD43 or use the link.
I am seeing an auto engineer to try and upgrade it for modern requirements. If we can get it to work I will post the pictures and tell you how we did it. Fingers crossed - I have been trying to upgrade it or get the right cd changer for years.
