headlights not bright !!

Forum rules
Not many rules really, this board being aimed at technical issues, it shouldn't fall foul (hopefully) of some of the more personal issues that can affect forums.

Rule 1 - Is that you need to think very carefully before posting anything technical or asking anything technical relating to the security system of the car - See 'Security Issues' sticky for more info.

Rule 2 - We (MGF Register) do not support copyright infringement and therefore references to CD ROM versions of the workshop manual (for instance) should not be posted on the forum (don't want to get into trouble, we'd rather sell you a pukka hard copy through our Regalia shop anyway!) :)

Because advice is honestly and freely given in this technical section, much of it will be amateur experienced based. Therefore we are pleased that we have a professional MG trained mechanic as a moderator. Steve Tyler who owns and operates British Legends in Southend will visit regularly with his knowledge and assistance.

I think that "chrome" spray (I think that I've seen it in Homebase) has been tried, but not worked too well. The highly reflective adhesive plastic has worked better, but I don't know how durable that has proven to be.

Have been doing some research and the "chrome" sprays you get are not chromey enough for my needs. Although i did find a spray kit which is actually spot on and very shiny indeed, but Alsa Killer Chrome at around £70 defeats the object of saving money, i'll try the tape first :D

Will be interesting to see if the tape works but I think they'll end up Dual Metalising for re-chroming :)
