Forum rules
Not many rules really, this board being aimed at technical issues, it shouldn't fall foul (hopefully) of some of the more personal issues that can affect forums.
Rule 1 - Is that you need to think very carefully before posting anything technical or asking anything technical relating to the security system of the car - See 'Security Issues' sticky for more info.
Rule 2 - We (MGF Register) do not support copyright infringement and therefore references to CD ROM, PDF versions or paper copies of the workshop manual (for instance) should not be posted on the forum. We don't want to get into trouble and we'd rather sell you a genuine hard copy through our Regalia shop anyway!
Because advice is honestly and freely given in this technical section, much of it will be amateur experienced based, so any information is given in good faith and is not guaranteed as correct.

I know what you mean Andrew! But when you do get a chance, it actually proves pretty intuitive for MEMS1.9 and 3J

Re: T300+ key coder and ECU diagnostic reader: MEMS1.9 and 2
I used a T300 to program fobs to my TF, I now have 4 fobs! The only problem I had with it was that it wouldn't recognise the TF 5as unit, I had to tell the unit it was an MGf then it found the 5as unit! The reason why the token resets to 100 is because it is a chinese cloan of a genuine device. The software on the devise is a copy! When I tried to sell it on ebay my listing was removed due to a complaint by the software owner!

Really? Now I am surprised. The Chinese would never clone a Western product would they? What was the original device, out of curiosity? Anyone know?

I seem to recall mention of the AD100 in the supplied manuals... so no surprise there then. Such a shame it's a rip off.

T300 was bought off an internet auction site (Ali Express IIRC). But I've since converted to pscan.eu as it reads every ECU on the car (which the T300 can't)

Another vote for the PScan from my side! One of the best invests MG wise ever. And it’s continuously updated to include more features, so will get better and better.
