Important Information - MGF25
Important news on MGF25.
The MGF25 venue is now formally announced to be the British Motor Museum, Gaydon.
Unfortunately due to an administrative error our provisional booking with Gaydon for the weekend of the 1st-2nd August 2020 was misplaced in their booking system and Gaydon have subsequently allocated the main parking aprons in front of the museum to another club on this weekend.
This left us as a Register with two options;
(1) Stay with the 1st/2nd August 2020 and share the site with another club with limited facilities. Or;
(2) Move the date to the earlier weekend of the 25th/26th July 2020.
After careful consideration, the MGF Register committee has decided to move the date allowing sole use of the Gaydon site for the MG marque.
MGF25 will now be held on the weekend of the 25th/26th July 2020.
Whilst the date had been announced previously, and many members had assumed we would be returning to Gaydon, the venue had not been formally announced, and given there is still over a year (406 days) we trust this change won’t cause anyone too much inconvenience. We do apologise to those of you that were planning to attend but can't now due to the revised date. This date change though, will ensure the event goes as smoothly as our previous shows and allows us to make the optimum use of the full, expanded Gaydon site.
Further news and details will be announced shortly as we are still very much in the planning stage, we can confirm the following;
• The main show day will be Saturday 25th July.
• An optional meal on the Saturday evening with entertainment.
• On Sunday the 26th July, there will be a road run leaving the museum early morning. The route and venue of the finish still has to be confirmed and will be announced once finalised.
• Camping on site will be available both on the Friday and Saturday night.
Tickets will go on sale through the museum's own ticketing system sometime in November 2019 and details of this will be launched on the weekend of the NEC Classic Car Show where the Register will be in attendance.

Well, I missed MGF 20 because of illness - so this will go into the diary. Gives me a finish date for getting "Stripey" back into a condition where I wont need to park her out back so she is not seen.

Re: Important Information - MGF25
I see it has been announced the MG Saloon Day 2020 has 'joined in' MGF 25 celebrations. Is this a watering down of MGF 25 with a tin top crowd ?

Re: Important Information - MGF25
Not convinced...I think it detracts..,but I gather a second event is likely due to size of Gaydon. I kinda think because it is a special anniversary it should be for F/TF alone. I realise the historical significance of Gaydon to the launch of MGF but maybe another venue should have been sought if the Register consider it unlikely to be able to fill Gaydon, and kept the orginal dates of the first weekend in August which Gaydon cocked up on.

It's a shame they are clashing the 2 events, which car do I take?
Home to black Alfa 159 3.2 V6 Q4, blue MGZR160, green MGF VVC and grey MGF 1.8i, and red MG Maestro T16.

Re: Important Information - MGF25
If it is not a stand alone event for MGF 25th celebration why not just plan it for MGLive! if more numbers were needed. (if that happens.)
If it is multiple events it is not MGF25 but an MG event at Gaydon. Not saying that is a bad thing, there will be more cars but less unique. I am sure it will be a great day and for me the more MG's the better. Planning on being there.
Just my ramblings, Mark

Re: Important Information - MGF25
Hi all,
Don`t know if we will be there, as some new strange laws has come
in for the way Danish people can have Holidays, but for sure not,
if it just a matter filling up the place with Z cars or some other MG`s
Think this should be the one, for all F`ers to meet up, might be for the final
time, ohh, yes geting old, so please, let all the old and new F`ers have a day
like MGF 10 & 20. They whre great events, 15 was to much ZT260 noice.
Hope to see you all next year,
Elèn & Kjeld

Hi,
I planed to give some more information about the event on the MG Club de France this afternoon. I had a bad surprise . . . no way to reach any text concerning the MGF 25 on "mgfregister.org" ; I was stopped on the page showing the logo of the event with the scrolling calendar !
What's wrong ? Someone here to help me ?
Thanks.

Sadly beyond the information within the first post of this thread I have no knowledge of any other information. I am hoping that someone else who is privy to more information comes along and helps soon.
Best Wishes
