Re: Run out to Kent this Daturday
What a lovely day, perfect weather, no traffic (not even Dartford ) a beautiful pub right alongside the River Medway. Simon had eight cars turn up, Malcolm and Chris joined me there. After a good chat, a beer and a snack and a look over the cars we took a walk all the way to Maidstone and back along the river bank looking at a buzzard and a cormorant both looking for lunch.
A good location, well worth keeping and a return visit, maybe we could go one weekend as there's a lovely river bus that glides along the river for one or three hour tours.

Who of you did they pick, Adrian?adrianclifford wrote:… a buzzard and a cormorant both looking for lunch.
But serious, this sounds very nice, also as it’s on the way from Dover, this might be a nice “early bird” or “Friday before” thingy for overseas visitors.

Mykel it was a beautiful location right next to the River Medway. Pub along with hotel (Premier Inn) right next door, decent size car park as well. What could be better than having a decent pint and meal sitting next to a tranquil river enjoying the sunshine

Thanks Adrian, nice to meet you guys, weather was good to us. Next meet is in November, will post up the event details in the South East section, as have no KENT MGF area yet
But we will try a WW2 airfield for the next one, hopefully see a Spit or 2.
Thanks Si
