MG40

2022 marks 40 years since MGs were first made at Longbridge. The move followed the closure of the Abingdon MG works in 1980 but by 1982 MG production began again at the Longbridge factory with the MG Metro.

This year we celebrate all MGs that followed on – the MG Maestro, MG Montego, MG 6R4, MG RV8, MGF, MGTF, MG ZR, MG ZS, MG ZT, MG SV, MG6, MG3 and, although no longer made at Longbridge, we’ll still find a place for the modern MG range of SUVs.

The show takes place over two days at the Gloucester & Warwickshire Steam Railway at Toddington. Spend two days and take in a ride on the railway too! All the MGCC Longbridge registers will be represented all weekend with Saturday focusing on the saloons, with MG Saloon Day incorporated, and Sunday focusing on the other Registers including the MGF Register who will be marking 20 years of the MGTF.
