The MGF Register held its AGM on Monday 28th March and, once again, it was held via Zoom. Next year we hope to be able to hold the AGM in person but Zoom, in theory, should allow more to attend. In this case there were just over 20 people at the meeting.
A new committee was voted in and you’ll find their details below. As last year, reports were circulated to those attending prior to the meeting and there were no questions relating to those and they were all accepted by the meeting. Some questions regarding the roles of our Regional Reps were raised at the end and a lively discussion took place.
The meeting was attended by the MGCC Chairman, Dave Tynan, who is also a member of the MGF Register committee although as he remains in the MGCC post his role as Vice-Chair with the Register has changed and Ian Wright was voted into that position.
As a result Ian has decided to stand down as the Regalia officer so that position is currently vacant and a new person to take on the role is being sought whilst Ian will caretake the position.
We welcome new committee members – Jo Bradley as treasurer who replaces Philip Hayward who has stood down to become the MGCC treasurer; Martyn Lucas who takes on a role as main show co-ordinator and Christine Edwards who, at the moment, is a Committee member without portfolio.
All the regional reps were approved and we were delighted to welcome Keith Thorpe from Manchester as a new Representative in that area.
